BackgroundandPurpose—Primaryangiitisofthecentralnervoussystemremainschallenging.Toreportanoverviewandpictorialreviewofbrainmagneticresonanceimagingfindingsinadultprimaryangiitisofthecentralnervoussystemandtodeterminethedistributionofparenchymal,meningeal,andvascularlesionsinalargemulticentriccohort.

Methods—AdultpatientsfromtheFrenchCOVACcohort(CohortofPatientsWithPrimaryVasculitisoftheCentralNervousSystem),withbiopsyorangiographicallyprovenprimaryangiitisofthecentralnervoussystemandbrainmagneticresonanceimagingavailableatthetimeofdiagnosiswereincluded.Asystematicimagingreviewwasperformedblindedtoclinicaldata.

Results—Sixtypatientsmetinclusioncriteria.Meanagewas45years(±12.9).Patientsinitiallypresentedfocaldeficit(s)(83%),headaches(53%),cognitivedisorder(40%),andseizures(38.3%).Themost
